Aldridge has 38 points, Spurs rout Thunder 124-92 in Game 1

SAN ANTONIO (AP) The San Antonio Spurs dismantled the Oklahoma City Thunder - in a hurry.
LaMarcus Aldridge had 38 points and the Spurs beat the Thunder 124-92 on Saturday night, never trailing in Game 1 of the second-round series.
The Spurs scored the most postseason points against the Thunder and came within eight points of matching their largest postseason victory ever.
''Obviously, it kind of got away from them,'' San Antonio veteran Tim Duncan said. ''We didn't expect that, but we'll take it at the start of a series.'

Kyle Anderson

Jul 24 2016, 12:05 PM

Update: N/A

Analysis: After winning Las Vegas Summer League MVP honors a year ago, Anderson again torched his overmatched competition, putting forth a full stat line while shooting 52.4 percent from the field and 41.5 percent from three-point range. Anderson has proven that he's deserving of a bigger role, but a deep Spurs roster has yet to allow him to do that. The team will have Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard, Manu Ginobili and Jonathon Simmons back for the upcoming season, which could prevent Anderson from seeing a significant bump up from the 16.0 minutes per game he averaged in 2015-16. Anderson's spot in the rotation certainly seems secure, but it will probably take an injury or two for his fantasy value to notice a jolt.

Manu Ginobili

Jul 21 2016, 10:51 AM

Update: N/A

Analysis: After deciding earlier this offseason to keep his career going, Ginobili re-signed with the Spurs on a one-year deal and will now turn his attention to the 2016 Summer Olympics in what figures to be his last Games with the Argentinian national team. Since Friday's matchup doesn't have any bearing on the Olympics and is more of a tune-up for both teams, there's little incentive for Ginobili to overextend himself while he's not fully healthy. He should be over the injury when the Olymipcs officially kick off in August.
