Update: Carroll (wrist, ankle) tallied 14 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes in Sunday's 116-89 Game 7 win over the Heat.
Analysis: Coach Dwane Casey indicated that Carroll was battling a tweaked ankle and sore wrist heading into Game 7, but the forward shook off the injuries to bottle up Dwyane Wade on defense along with providing strong work on the offensive end. He'll close the second round with averages of 10.7 points (on 46.4% shooting from the floor), 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 34.0 minutes.
Carroll is out against the Cleveland Cavaliers because of a sore right knee.
Raptors coach Dwane Casey made the announcement about an hour before Monday's game. Carroll has played in 23 games, averaging 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds. Casey said Carroll's knee was more swollen than usual after Sunday's game against Chicago, leading to the decision to sit him out. It's uncertain when Carroll, who has also dealt with a foot injury this season, will return. The Raptors visit Brooklyn on Wednesday.
