Update: Mudiay finished with 25 points (11-23 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, and four rebounds over 37 minutes in Wednesday's 107-99 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Mudiay closed out his rookie season with three respectable shooting performances in a row, hitting 50 percent of his attempts from the field during that span while averaging 21.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. While that offers some encouragement heading into the summer, Mudiay still has a ways to go in development before the Nuggets can confidently structure their franchise around him. While Mudiay played better in the second half of the season, his ugly shooting percentage and turnover problems remain major warts in his game, and in leagues where those two stat categories are used, he's hardly an asset at all. Still, the team appears poised to proceed with Mudiay as their starting point guard in 2016-17, and it wouldn't be surprising if he posted improvements in just about every area.
