Update: Kaminsky will undergo surgery to remove a small pocket of air in his chest wall, and as a result, he won't suit up for the Hornets during summer league play, Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders reports.
Analysis: Kaminsky will miss roughly six weeks following the procedure, but he should have no trouble getting back to full strength by the start of training camp in the fall. The second-year big man was never expected to see much run in the Orlando Summer League anyway, so he's not going to be missing out on any important development time.
Kaminsky scored nine of his 15 points during an 18-0 run in the third quarter that broke open a tie game as the Hornets beat the Heat 96-80 on Saturday night to snap a 12-game playoff losing streak and earn their first postseason victory in 14 years.
Kaminsky played 34 minutes and was a plus-16 during his first playoff start.
