Update: Johnson averaged 16.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 steals across five games during the Orlando Summer League.
Analysis: Although Johnson was the Pistons' leading scorer, his efficiency left much to be desired. He shot 35.5 percent from the field and a dismal 26.7 percent from deep. With Tobias Harris ahead of the 20-year-old on the depth chart at small forward, Johnson is likely to continue developing his game while serving as the Pistons' sixth man in the coming season.
Johnson is out indefinitely with a sprained right shoulder.
The Pistons plan to evaluate the rookie forward again next week. He was hurt during Detroit's win at Cleveland on Tuesday night. Johnson, the No. 8 overall pick in 2015, is averaging nine points, four-plus rebounds and 24 minutes per game this season.
