Update: Oladipo was traded Thursday along with Ersan Ilyasova and the draft rights to No. 11 overall pick Domantas Sabonis to the Thunder in exchange for Serge Ibaka, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Analysis: Oladipo is the headliner of the Thunder's three-player haul, as the former No. 2 overall pick provides the team with a scoring combo guard who is capable on the defensive end. Russell Westbrook's presence at the point guard spots ensures that Oladipo will spend most of his time off the ball, but he could immediately become the Thunder's secondary scoring option if unrestricted free agent Kevin Durant heads elsewhere this offseason. At the very least, Oladipo's acquisition appears to signal that the Thunder aren't looking to retain restricted free agent Dion Waiters, leaving an opening for Oladipo to step in as the team's sixth man or starting shooting guard. Oladipo averaged 16.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.6 steals in 33.0 minutes per game with the Magic last season.
