Update: McDermott appeared in 81 games for the Bulls during the 2015-16 season and averaged 9.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.4 three-pointers and 0.7 assists across 23.0 minutes per game. He shot 45.2 percent from the field, 42.5 percent from behind the arc and 85.7 percent from the charity stripe.
Analysis: McDermott saw increased playing time over his rookie campaign and more than tripled his points per game average. The small forward still has a ways to go before he becomes a major fantasy asset, but he does provide value with his ability to knock down three-pointers and hit them at a high percentage.
McDermott scored 25 points in a win over Brooklyn on Thursday night.
The Chicago Bulls' reserve forward is living up to his "Dougie McBuckets" nickname lately, averaging 24.7 points on 62.2 percent shooting in his last three games. He's 12 of 19 from 3-point range in that stretch.
